The mosque popularly known as ‘Allah o Akbar Jumath’ is an exact replica of the mosque of ‘Darul Ulum Haqqania’ , Akhora Khattak with minor changes in front elevation and removing one Minarett. It was constructed under the name of Masjid College Colony by the State Government of Swat. It was built departmentally to maintain the quality of work. Overall Incharge of the Project was Mohammad Karim (Marhoom), the then Head of State P.W.D. The Ruler of Swat (Miangul Abdul Haq Jahanzeb) was deeply involved in the construction of this mosque. The visited the site almost daily in the evening to see the construction work. The letters of Allah o Akbar were written by Painter of Mingora, carving in the words in fresh cement plaster.
